We heard about a match of motoball (motobolas in Lithuanian) and of course we decided to check it out. The game was between the Kreting team and a Belorussia team, and it was very entertaining. The rules are similar to football and the game itself is almost exactly like a football game only the players are riding a motorcycle. The locals seem to really enjoy the game and the stadium was full of fans.

Seeing Kretinga play live a few summers ago was utterly chaotic, and reading the article instantly reminded me of dodging flying clumps of mud from behind the goalposts. My brother genuinely thought I was having him on when I tried explaining motorcycle football back home!
Watching the Kretinga side tackle each other on two wheels brings back vivid memories of attending an exhibition match in France, where I had checked this site for matchday directions before heading down to the paddock. The raw smell of two-stroke petrol combined with the roar of the packed terraces is an experience you simply never forget.
