A perfect place to spend a day with a kid in Alentejo.
A small animal sanctuary where we suggest you let your children lead the way, there’s plenty to do for a half day visit (or even longer). Bring a picnic, there’s plenty of good spots with sun or shade to relax.
No queues for anything at all, not the trampoline, the slides, the tractor ride.
Great day out for all of us. Surely one of the top things to do with a young kid in Portugal.

In Lavre, Montemor-o-Novo, Évora district, Monte Selvagem – Reserva Animal is a space with 20 ha that combines a biodiversity reserve, a leisure park and a pedagogical project to discover. A private park, inaugurated on May 8, 2004, which houses 60 species, a total of about 350 animals. It is open to the public for 9 months of the year, from February to October.
